3 Steps To Creating a Built to Impact Social Media Strategy

In 2019, we all know that people are spending way too much time on social media. As a matter of fact, 86% of millennials use social media on a regular basis for an average of six hours a week. But not only that, social media influences their purchasing habits and brand trust.

After knowing that information, I want to help your business succeed with a impactful social media plan so today I’m sharing 3 important factors are essential to creating a built to impact social media strategy.

The first step is to..

  1. Find Your Niche. A niche is the area you specialize in. It is specific to what you are selling or your brand. Make it distinct. Generalization leads to confusion, which leads to burnout, which leads to a loss in sales.

Here are some tips to make your niche successful.

  • Narrowly define your customer base. This helps you efficiently market your business.

  • Make sure your service is unique. Too many services or products lead to confusion.

  • Hone in what makes your service special. You want your service to stick out from others.

  • Repeat your message whenever possible. Make the customers remember who you are and what you do.

The second step is to..

2. Know your target audience. This is the group of people that your product or service appeals to the most. It is your “ideal client”. Lots of information is available on social media. People only pay attention to information that pertains to them.

Tweet this, “A target audience will bring attention to your brand by being able to focus on THEIR needs and goals.”

Targeting a specific audience will make your customers happier because you would help them with their specific problems or needs.  Knowing what your client wants will sharpen your services and products to better to meet their expectations.

The third step is to..

3. Create a brand story. The brand story is the emotional backbone of your business. It’s not just the history but the reason why you started your business.  It is how your story relates to theirs. Storytelling is a fundamental way to create deep and powerful human connections. Your brand story provides the link between your business and target audience. It drives a deeper engagement to your brand.

Tweet this,  “Potential customers don’t buy products and services. They buy into the people and the story of your brand that remind them of why they NEED your products and services.”

Cardi B is a great example of someone who is successful at a social media strategy.

Cardi B has

  • a clear niche: empower and inspire millennial women to better themselves.

  • a target audience: millennial women.

  • a well-known brand story: she began as a stripper, who through hard work and dedication to her brand became the first female rapper in 19 years to top the Billboard Charts in 2017.

For an example of this, watch Cardi B’s “Money” music video as this video tells her brand story.

People are spending more and more time on social media platforms, and these platforms are influencing people’s purchasing habits and brand loyalty.

In order to have an impactful social media strategy, you have to find your niche and remain loyal to it, target a specific audience that you can impress and create a brand story that will emotionally invest your customers to your product or service.
